About the blog

I started this blog in March 2011 in order to raise awareness of what life is like as a powered wheelchair user. I think people have a lot of presuppositions about disabled people, and I hope to give an honest, realistic perspective on what life is really like. I also hope to encourage newly diagnosed young people, and their families, that their life is not over just because they are disabled.

I also started this blog in order for me to keep a record of my thoughts and feelings; a snapshot of my life at certain points in time. I hope this will in the future help me to realise what I have achieved in my life so far and how I have grown as a person.
